Early American Micro-Beaded Reticule, blues and black. Here's a very special purse from the early era of beaded purses, which breaks out of the typical model. On a black background, two lovely shades of periwinkle blue with white touches mark out the great design! A sprig, not of flowers but of oak leaves and acornss! And the bottom pattern is of bumble bees! A HONEY of a purse! This bag has been restored by a professional, adding a new (out of vintage fabric) header and drawstring cord. Dates from 1830- 1860) It's a whimsical charmer, a special example of the early American reticule....And it has a "signature" bead, normally a white bead, but since this bag utilizes white beads for accent touches, this signature bead is a tan color. See our website section "Why the White Bead?" for info on this unique way of the maker 'signing' a purse. 6 by 7 1/2 inches.
