ART NOUVEAU ELEGANT GOLD AND WHITE BEADED PURSE,  BRIDE!

Circa 1905, this elegant gold and white beaded purse is unique.  The pearly beads superbly set off the rich gold bead design in Art Nouveau whiplash floral stems and leaves.  If you look closely, the gold beads are not smooth, but have a unique ‘ribbed’ texture, so they catch the light in a most wonderful way.  I’ve never seen beads like this before, though I have been a collector of beaded purses for 27 years.  The German Silver (marked) frame is plated in rich gold, and has a superlative patina, and one side is engraved with the initials, L. A. C. or maybe the C is a T, can’t tell for cetain.  Beadwork is perfect, except for a couple missing right at the very top under the frame in the center on both sides...maybe 2 or 3 beads missing.  The lining is just perfect, ivory silk.  Chain is nice quality, too.  This would be a great purse for a bride to carry!  It even appears to have ‘wedding bells’ suggested in the floral pattern.   Measures 5 by 7 1/4 inches.  An exceptional, eye-pleasing design!
