Early American Micro-Beaded Reticule, no fringe. Usually this era of bag has three sections, with the scene being very small in the bottom section. Not so here. This great village scene occupies about 2/3 of the purse! It has several 3-dimensionally represented buildings, giving the scene lots of depth--cottages, schoolhouse and church. And, it has a pond with two boats tied up to posts in the foreground--darling! The bottom section is a great graphic pattern in bright turquoise and white, unique! This turquoise color is followed through in the fabric for the header. This purse has had some tiny holes repaired by a professional here and there, so there are no problems now. 6 by 7 inches. Considering it's over 130 years old, I'd say you can't lose adding this to your collection.
