SOMEWHERE IN TIME CHOSEN AS ONE OF THE 50 BEST FOREIGN FILMS! We have incredibly exciting news to tell, another recent development about our beloved movie -- AND we are offering a great Holiday Special with GIFT orders for Somewhere in Time Collectibles....so read on! This just received, Dec 8: Longtime INSITE Members in Japan report that SOMEWHERE IN TIME has been chosen as one of the 50 Best Foreign Films, by Japanese Film Critics! And, as part of the Best 50 Films, it will be shown on the Big Screen in Japan for 25 weeks, beginning Feb 2010 to Jan 2011 -- this, during the movie's 30th Anniversary in 2010! The Best 50 Films will play at theaters in 25 Japanese cities, presented one week in each. This is a great honor for our movie! Somewhere in Time has been selected among "classic greats" -- and a few surprises. Go see the entire list of 50 on this Website: http://asa10.eiga.com/cinema/ The website text is all in Japanese, however, there is a photo of each film presented. We need to also announce that another of the 50 Movies is also written by Richard Matheson, DUEL. This is really surprising, as it is the only one of the 50 that was made-for-TV, and is also the only Steven Spielberg film in the list! This recognition represents a huge tribute to Matheson and we heartily Congratulate him--and all the creators of the movie. I have already sent Congratulations to Director Jeannot Szwarc who is extremely thrilled, Producer Stephen Simon, Dir. of Photography Isidore Mankofsky and Jane Seymour -- and of course, Matheson himself, with whom I spoke last night. He is quite delighted, and revealed he is writing a new novel. Our 'little movie' is surely a beloved film all over the world, and not just because it's so beautiful to look at -- and the stars are perfectly cast, with perfect performances, with a brilliant, heart-fluttering musical soundtrack -- but perhaps above all, because of the film's moving message of the Power of Love. Somewhere in Time, a Musical! Press Release Today! We finally have official word and a Press Release, dated today, Monday Sept. 14, 2009, regarding the Broadway Musical of Somewhere in Time. Producer Ken Davenport gave us the heads-up this weekend and told us we could 'spread the word' today. | ||
