Susan French Passes Away

We have lost a precious member of the Somewhere In Time Family . . . Miss Susan French.  Susan Frances Moultrie died April 6 at the age of 91.  Her immortal four words in Somewhere In Time, “Come back to me? will remain her signature line, a line emblazoned in the hearts of all SIT fans. A true lady in the highest and classic sense of that term, Susan was also a very adventurous woman, with an independent nature far ahead of her time.  She once said, “I am very fond of men, but never had much use for a husband.?Her life is so interesting to learn . . .

INSITE (International Network of Somewhere In Time Enthusiasts) published a lengthy tribute article to Susan in the First Quarter issue of our magazine, with dozens of photos, many of Susan joining us for our annual SIT Weekend.  Also included are quotes from some of the creators of SIT about her.  She attended 9 of the 12 events.  INSITE also published a biography article of this remarkable woman in the First Quarter 1999 issue, with many photos of Susan’s life and career.  (Back issues of INSITE are available for $15 per year.  See INSITE Fan Club section of this website)

Susan is included on all of the first four SIT Event Videos, including her sharing her entertaining stories of making the film, as well as a private interview with her on the “Christopher Reeve Returns to Mackinac? video #3.  Theses videos are ever more precious as time goes on.

The SIT Event Video Collection chronicles the amazing legacy of the film, with archival private visits with all the celebrities involved.  Fans adore them.

She will be missed, but never forgotten . . .
