Ever since 1979, on the first night I worked on the beautiful, romantic movie "Somewhere in Time" (starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour) as a 1912 extra, and they handed me a beaded purse to carry as part of my costume, I have been fascinated by these incredible works of art. I've been a collector of beaded purses for over 30 years, and frequently lecture on the subject.
